OK. I'm a newbie on here, so first hello. I have a 1999 Savana conversion van that is in great shape and does what I want - i.e. paint contracting van. The engine has developed a bad knock (the dealer ship where I get work done says its a rod about to go). I have a friend who has the equipment/shop to do this in if it comes out the front. If its an out-the-door or out-the-bottom job he wants no part of it. So, enlighten me on this please. How does it come out and how big a deal is it for two experienced well-equipped guys?
