Trans pan - drill hole to drain fluid, location

No drain bolt on my pan, read somewhere to drill bottom of pan with self tapping shallow threaded screw/bolt, and after unscrewing bolt drain fluid, pull pan, when reinstalling put threadlocker on threads. I believe the indent shown in pan was designed for drain bolt, but if installed there would be higher off bottom of pan, leaving fluid. Also thinking by adding screw there would send it closer to sensitive areas at the bottom of trans! Any advice would be greatly appreciated, My first attempt at trans fluid/filter change. Thanks Steve

Question: where to safely drill screw into pan, see pan pic. for help with hopefully the safest location.

Also for flushing fluid out through the rad. is it correct to remove upper trans line on rad and put pvc clear hose screwed into female thread, and flush out to bucket?
